I noticed some services were not responding tonight such as mySQL. I went in and restarted mySQL and also DNS (past issues) and now things seem to be ok now. Any issues please e-mail support AT portalplanet DOT net . Thanks!

This was first noticed in the morning when mySQL, SSH, and Pop3 went into rackwatch. Upon further investigation it was found to be a DNS issue that was causing problems. DNS was restarted and all services were working again.
As mentioned before these updates are usually done before 10:00 AM EST. Sometimes the updates are done on a Tuesday if Monday is too busy.

On Tuesday April 1, 2008 the Portal Planet server will be upgraded to the latest stable version of the control panel, hsphere. Upgrade times usually begin around 8:00 EST and last for 2-3 hours. Please be aware that during this period certain services such as database, mail, web, control panel will go up and down. This is normal during the upgrade process. Please contact Portal Planet with any questions regarding this scheduled update.
