Come Network With Other NKY Small Business Owners

Want to network and see what other small businesses in Northern Kentucky are up to? Come to the 2008 Small Business Owners Association annual business showcase! It is tonight at the Boone County Cooperative Extension office from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Admission is free and food is provided also. Over three dozen small businesses will have booths there. Portal Planet is going to be giving away a University of Kentucky steak branding iron from Brand My Steak. Many other businesses will be holding drawings.

Rest of the Year Update Schedule

As noted before, these updates are usually on Monday’s but may happen on Tuesdays if the schedule is behind. Usually these updates take place before 9:30 AM and some services such as web hosting, e-mail, mySQL, control panel may be down for a few minutes. It seems that some settings were off on the server making it so that e-mail invoices were not being sent out. This issue has been corrected and invoices will be e-mailed out. Please e-mail support if you have any questions.

Hiccup, Restarted Working OK Now

I noticed some services were not responding tonight such as mySQL. I went in and restarted mySQL and also DNS (past issues) and now things seem to be ok now. Any issues please e-mail support AT portalplanet DOT net . Thanks!

April 12, 2008 Update

This was first noticed in the morning when mySQL, SSH, and Pop3 went into rackwatch. Upon further investigation it was found to be a DNS issue that was causing problems. DNS was restarted and all services were working again.
